To expand its smartphone portfolio soon Xiaomi is going to launch a new device Redmi K30i. This is said to a toned-down variant of the Redmi K30 5G smartphone. As per a report by XDA Developers has been spotted in MIUI Camera app.  A string of new characters related to Redmi k30i has been found inside the camera system code suggesting the camera details of the upcoming device. The device was spotted with a “Picasso” codename mentioning  “back_picasso_48m.” This confirms that the smartphone will be backed by a 48-megapixel primary sensor instead of 64MP from the standard variant. Moreover, it revealed that the device will be featuring a quad rear camera set up. An internal document leaked earlier also revealed that the company is planning to bring an affordable 5G device. Furthermore, it revealed that the device was set to launch in late April with a price tag of 1,799 Yuan that translates to Rs 19,300. But some rumours suggest that Redmi K30i is likely to come with a price tag of RMB 1,000 that translates to Rs 10,700. If rumours are to be believed this would be cheapest 5G smartphone being offered at the cheapest pricing under its latest Redmi K30 series while retaining some of the features of its K30 series. As we mentioned above the device has also been spotted on the TENAA website with model number M2001G7AE. In terms of device, the device will look similar to Redmi K30 5G. As per the listing, the K30i will feature a 6.50-inch display and will be powered by Snapdragon 765G processor. It will be available in two variants 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of onboard storage option. Additionally, it will pack a 4,400mAh battery and a 48-megapixel rear camera.
