Featuring advanced audio performance, with Meridian sound technology, easy connectivity, smart functionality and sleek designs that integrate with the LG OLED and LG NanoCell 4K and 8K UHD TVs, the new soundbar line-up will be initially available in the United States through US retailers starting this month. Mind you! The 2020 line-up, which is composed of eight models ranging from 380 to 770 watts, include five new premium models the SN11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG, SN8YG and SN7Y. These soundbars come equipped with Meridian sound technology, Dolby Atmos, DTS-X and 192KHz HiRes Audio for highly-realistic audio performance making any content-viewing or listening experience far more immersive. Moreover, these five premium models are fitted with up-firing speakers to deliver a 360-degree sound experience. According to LG, “The flagship SN11RG even includes separate rear surround speakers with up-firing drivers to further enhance the experience.” Apart from this, the technology company stated that LG SN8YG, SN9YG, SN10YG & SN11RG housed advanced connectivity through eARC to provide easy connection, better sound quality and convenient control with the TV remote. With the Google Assistant built-in, these four models also offer the convenience of AI smart connectivity and voice recognition without the need for an extra device. LG further claims that its collaboration with Meridian Audio drives the audio quality of these models to new heights using technologies that combine advanced signal processing and refined hardware design resulting in an expanded soundstage with greater height, width and depth. Additionally, these models also include 4K HDR pass through HDMI. Looking at the other 2020 LG soundbar models in the line-up, the company said that they “offer a wide variety of sizes, power output, attractive design and great sound quality to fit the need for enhanced audio in any room or for any screen size.” In order to provide an easy and convenient way to add rear surround channels without the hassle of running wires to the back of the room, all 2020 LG soundbars are compatible with the optional SPK8 Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. As far as price is concerned, the cost of LG SN11RG sound bar is $1,699 while the SN10YG costs $1,299. The three more soundbars in the premium category include the SN9YG with a price tag of $999, the SN8YG which comes for $799 and the SN7Y that’s available for $499. On the other hand, price of LG SN6Y sound bar is $399 while the costs of the SN5Y as well as SPK8-S are $279 and $179, respectively.
