According to the report in The Sunday Times, Apple will not be following the Netflix model and will instead be releasing as much original content as possible in order to attract viewers. Cue has also said that the company will not be “creating the most” original content for users, but then, it will definitely be “creating the best.” When he was quizzed about Netflix’s model, Cue said that there is “nothing wrong with that model, but it’s not our model.” Cue has also said that Apple has never tried to be the first when it comes to any product or service, but it has always focussed on being the best. He said, “We try to be the best, and we don’t have to be the first to be the best.” He also added that Apple doesn’t “know a lot about television other than we are big consumers of it.” However, he said that the company is finding the best people to do the job for them. It is worth adding that Apple has brought some high-profile Hollywood executives like Jamie Erlicht, Zack Van Amburg and Jay Hunt for the job. Other than this, the company has also signed up a number of celebrities like J.J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston for Apple TV+.

The company unveiled its Apple TV+ service at an event earlier this year. There, a number of celebrities were present and they announced what shows they would be working on for Apple’s upcoming TV service. Apple is not planning to produce the same amount of content as its competitors are, but its promising to have the best quality of shows. We will have to wait till fall to see whether it lives up to that or not.
